McCollum Park - McCollum Park Forest Stewardship …06/30/2024

Activities

Help care for the next generation of McCollum Park's forest! In 2022, volunteers removed blackberries and ivy to plant native trees and shrubs in the northwest section of the park. At this event, participants will focus on weeding around those plantings and clearing more weeds. Volunteer contributions will help us get ready to plant more this winter.

All ages OK

7 out of 15 participants registered.

What to Bring

Be prepared to work rain or shine! Dress in layers and wear clothing that you don't mind getting dirty or snagged on plants. Closed-toed shoes, long sleeves, and pants are recommended. Please bring a [reusable] water bottle. We will be providing tools as well as gloves. If you have your own work gloves, feel free to bring them.

If you are showing any symptoms of Influenza or COVID-19 (coughing, sneezing, fever, etc.), please stay home.

Where to Meet

We will meet in the parking lot at the very north end of the park. Look for the person in a yellow vest!
